Nowadays, more and more people are becoming more health conscious and try to take better care of their bodies. If you are interested in eating in a proper way you should to know the list of the most useful and harmful products for people’s health.


Firstly, a list of the top five products for people’s health consists of nuts, whole grains, berries, fish and leafy green vegetables. Nuts are a good source of plant protein. They also contain monounsaturated fats, which may be a factor in reducing the risk of heart disease. A good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber, whole grains also contain several B vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. They have been shown to lower cholesterol and protect against heart disease and diabetes. High in fiber, berries are naturally sweet, and their rich colors mean they are high in antioxidants and disease-fighting nutrients. Fish can be a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, which help prevent heart disease. Finally, dark, leafy greens are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and fiber, as well as several phytochemicals.

In contrast, we have a list of the top five harmful products for people’s health which consists of sugar, margarine, fast food, canned food and commercial bread. Sugar is a significant cause of obesity and diabetes and also puts stress on the pancreas, liver and digestive system. The nervous system is said to be compromised by up to 50 per cent every time you eat sugar. Margarine is processed fat, often containing very unhealthy trans-fats, which your body cannot process. This raises your cholesterol and damages the walls of blood vessels. The fast food is full of highly processed meat, sodium and of course saturated fats. This is a deadly combination and one that will reduce your life expectancy. Canned foods are a stockpile of salt and some cans sometimes contain as much as 890 milligrams of sodium, which is nearly your full day's quota. Most commercial breads are unhealthy if eaten in large amounts, as they’re made from refined wheat, which is low in fiber and essential nutrients and may lead to rapid spikes in blood sugar.


To sum up, I want to note, that even such a product as bread can be harmful for our health. So, we should be careful eating even well-known products and check the labels on the packets to know the ingredients of the food which we are buying.
